I am re-opening my clinic from 6th July 2020 with precautions as per guidance from GOsC (General Osteopathic Council) taking into consideration the data available and latest government advice.
Please click on the COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS tab above to see what changes I am making. In addition you can access the latest government advice by clicking below.
Mild discomfort can be a warning that something needs to change. Manual treatment and correct advice can prevent further injury and pain developing.
In medical terms 'Acute' refers to quick onset/short duration. Sometimes discomfort and pain in joints, muscles and tendons can come on quickly 'out of the blue' or following an injury. Osteopathic care can help with many types of acute pain including neck, back, shoulder, hip or knee pains. In addition some headaches and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) pain can be relieved.
Longer term or 'Chronic' (more than 3 months) symptoms can be relieved with manual treatment. Again problems which could be improved with osteopathic treatment are broad and include back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, hip and knee pain.
